Adhesive Label Peel Strength Tester

Purpose of the Peel Tester:

The Self-Adhesive Peel Strength Tester is a specialized electronic peel tester designed for testing the peel strength, tensile strength, and other properties of adhesives, adhesive tapes, self-adhesive labels, medical patches, protective films, release liners, composite films, synthetic leather, woven bags, films, paper, and related products. This machine can be equipped with various fixtures and elongation measurement devices,or customized according to customer requirements. The film tensile tester is suitable for testing the tensile strength and elongation at break of stretch wrap film.

Test Principle：

Align the adhesive surface of the test specimen with the standard test panel, roll over it three times with a standard pressure roller, set it aside, and clamp it into the peel tester. Peel the specimen away from the test panel at a 180° angle. A force transducer records the force during the peeling process; this force is then divided by the width of the peeled area to determine the peel strength.

Procedure:

Fold the free end of the specimen 180 degrees and peel it away from the test plate, leaving a 25 mm adhesive surface. Clamp the free end of the specimen and the test plate onto the upper and lower clamps, respectively. Ensure that the peel surface aligns with the force line of the testing machine. The testing machine continuously peels the sample at a speed of 300 mm/min ± 10 mm, and an automatic recorder plots the peel curve (GB/T 2792-1998 Standard Test Method for Peel Strength of Adhesive Tapes).
Test Results: Calculate the value based on the distance between 20 and 80 mm after peeling.
Within the peeling range, record one reading every 20 mm, with a minimum of four readings. Calculate the average value.

Applications:

Protective films: Used to test the 180-degree peel strength of adhesive products such as protective films.
Self-adhesive labels: Used to measure the peel strength of adhesive products such as self-adhesive labels and pressure-sensitive tapes.
Medical adhesives: Used to test the adhesive performance of products specified in the pharmacopoeia, including medical tapes, band-aids, plasters, ointments, medicated patches, and gel dressings.
