It is primarily used to determine the folding fatigue strength of paper, woven fabrics, metal foils, plastic films, and fiber-reinforced composites. Test parameters such as the direction of the sample (longitudinal or transverse), tension level, test speed, and number of folds can be set according to specific testing requirements. Test Principle:

Fold endurance refers to the number of times paper or cardboard can withstand repeated 135-degree double folds under a specified tension. It is typically expressed as the number of folds or as the logarithm (base 10) of the number of folds. The number of folds recorded at the point of failure is defined as the fold endurance.
