Product Overview:

The ZY-SLY1000A Pneumatic Tear Strength Tester is a fully automatic testing instrument specifically designed to measure the tear strength of materials. It utilizes pneumatic clamps, eliminating the need for manual specimen clamping, and is suitable for testing the tear strength of various materials, including paper, films, textiles, and plastic and rubber sheet materials. It complies with multiple international and national standards, including GB/T 455, 1501974, and QB/T 1050. With a wide range of applications, it serves as a reliable measurement tool for the paper, chemical, and packaging industries, as well as quality control departments.

Standards:

GB/T 455, QB/T 1050, GB/T 16578.2, ISO 1974, TAPPI T414
The Paper Tear Tester is a specialized instrument for measuring the tear strength of paper. Its primary technical specifications and performance parameters comply with the relevant provisions of standards such as ISO 1974 “Paper—Determination of tear strength (Eli-Mendoff method)” and GB 455.1 “Method for determining the tear strength of paper.”It is an ideal testing instrument for industries and departments such as papermaking, scientific research, and product quality supervision and inspection.

Test Principle:

Based on the Eli-Mendoff method:
1、A standard pre-cut is made in the specimen, which is then pneumatically clamped;
2、The pendulum is raised to a fixed angle to store energy;
3、The pendulum is pneumatically released, and its downward swing tears the specimen;
4、A high-precision encoder measures the change in the pendulum’s angle to calculate the work done and the force (units: gf, mN, or N).

Key Performance Advantages:

  • 7-inch LCD touchscreen with seamless switching between Chinese and English;
  •  Utilizes advanced microelectronic measurement and control technology and computer technology for a high degree of automation;
  • Features data storage capabilities, automatically measuring, compiling, and printing test results;
  • Optional connection to a computer for automatic plotting of real-time test data curves (optional)
  • Pneumatic clamping + automatic release: Eliminates manual errors and ensures excellent repeatability.

Comparison with the Manual Model:

Pneumatic Model: Automatic sample clamping and release, minimal error, high efficiency, suitable for mass production and quality control.
Manual Model: Manual clamping and release, simple operation, low cost, suitable for small-scale laboratory testing.

Product Configuration:

Standard Configuration: Main unit, thermal paper, power cord, user manual, certificate of conformity, warranty card
Optional Accessories: Dedicated tear strength sampler, professional software, communication cable

Applications:

Paper: Suitable for testing the tear strength of materials such as base paper, printing paper, and paper tubes
Fiber Materials: Tear testing is suitable for materials such as glass fiber and carbon fiber
Films: Tear testing is suitable for materials such as optical films, composite films, superconducting films, and insulating diaphragms
Other Materials: Tear testing is suitable for materials such as non-woven fabrics, textiles, leather, and other composite materials
