Applications of the Thickness Gauge:
The Microcomputer Paper Thickness Tester (with Tension Measurement Function) is a fully automatic, high-precision paper thickness testing instrument developed by our company in accordance with national standards. It features a touchscreen control system and a fully automatic testing mode, tests are completed with a single button press. It can operate as a standalone unit or be configured for continuous testing to minimize errors. It is designed to measure the single-sheet thickness, stacked thickness, and cross-sectional thickness variation of paper up to 6 mm thick, and is specifically suited for the precise measurement of the thickness of paper, thin sheets, plastic films, and other materials within its measurement range.
Testing Principle:
Under a specified static load, a thickness gauge meeting accuracy requirements is used to measure the thickness of a single sheet or a stack of sheets according to test specifications. The results are expressed as either single-layer thickness or cumulative thickness. Based on the basis weight of the paper or cardboard and the single-layer or cumulative thickness, the single-layer density or cumulative density is calculated respectively.
Complies with the following standards:
QB/T 1035 “Thickness Gauges for Paper and Paperboard”;
QB/T 451.3 “Methods for Determining the Thickness of Paper and Paperboard”;
QB/T 1055 “Thickness Gauges for Paper and Paperboard”;
ISO 438 “Paper—Determination of Laminated Thickness and Density”.
ISO 534 “Paper and paperboard—Determination of single-layer thickness and calculation of board density”;
Key Performance Advantages:
- 7-inch touchscreen with curve display; supports seamless switching between Chinese and English;
- Features data statistics and processing capabilities; allows setting the number of tests and automatically saves data;
- Can measure single-layer thickness, total layer thickness, and thickness variation across the width, and automatically calculates the density value;
- Equipped with a miniature thermal printer; optional connection to a computer for automatic plotting of real-time test data curves;
- Utilizes a high-precision displacement sensor; the instrument features testing, conversion, display, memory, printing, and data processing functions
